2023 in Review
Reflecting on 2023 is special for so many reasons, but mainly because this year has been monumental. There is an element of shock, that we have achieved so much in this last year. This year Blackcore shipped our latest products to our ever-growing list of clients based all over the world. We also hosted and exhibited at 6 events, which is a record for Blackcore and an excellent example of our rapid growth.
2023 had so many highs that we wanted to tell you about our top 5 moments from Blackcore's eighth year.
FEBRUARY 2023 - Our First London G3 Launch Event
On the 23rd of February, we launched the second phase of our GENERATION 3 range of Overclocked Servers in central London. This launch included the G3 Raptor Lake system and our G3 Sapphire Rapids system, which were displayed at the event for our guests to see up close.
JUNE 2023 - The Blackcore & Intel Summer Social in Midtown Manhattan
On the 8th of June, we hosted our first Summer Social Event with Intel, at the Daintree Rooftop & Lounge in Midtown Manhattan. The event included a very brief presentation from our CTO James Lupton, our CRO Ciaran Kennedy, and Raj Sugathan from Intel. We updated our guests on our current GENERATION 3 platform, the roadmap for the rest of 2023, and our expansion in the US.
JULY 2023 - Launched Blackcore OC DDR5 RDIMM
In July we launched our Latency Tuned Overclocked DDR5 ECC RDIMM + UDIMM for our GEN 3 Sapphire Rapids platform This was a big moment for Blackcore, something that we have wanted to do for a long time. We worked with a new memory partner and spent a year collaboratively creating a range of DDR5 SKUs that would elevate our Blackcore systems. SEPTEMBER 2023 - Blackcore Technologies & Launching SPR-X
In September the Blackcore brand evolved, with a slight rebrand we switched from ‘Blackcore by Exacta’ to ‘Blackcore Technologies’. This was done to reflect our growth, and our achievements and set us up for our 2024 endeavours.
September was a busy month as we also launched our G3 SPR-X overclocked server. This launch was special as it is the first high-core count overclocked platform from the Sapphire Rapids range. The system also supports our new Overclocked ECC RDIMM DDR5, which takes system performance to a whole new level.
NOVEMBER 2023 - STAC London in November
In November we traveled to London to be part of the Fall STAC Summit. Our CTO James Lupton and our CRO Ciaran Kennedy represented Blackcore at our table and James gave a speech during the Innovation Round-up session. It was a great day, we met interesting new people, caught up with existing clients and showed off our stunning GENERATION 3 overclocked server to everyone who glanced toward our table.

This year we have seen a significant shift in operations - increased growth, larger clients, and a laser focus on continuous improvement. We excitedly started shipping our incredible SPR range, which has been a huge success thanks to our design philosophy and rapid development. Coupled with our unique DDR5 RDIMM - a new venture for Blackcore - and a focus on enterprise toolsets, clients have experienced incredible uplifts in performance, reliability, and manageability. We have a significant number of exciting projects that we've kicked off and can't wait to show you in the new year.

2023 has been a fantastic year for Blackcore. Since the launch of our Sapphire Rapids range of products, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand. To meet this demand, we’ve delivered operational improvements throughout the business; We’ve grown teams, scaled capacity, and improved processes, quality, and reliability. Working through these challenges has been incredibly rewarding, we’ve built an amazing team and are all very proud of what we’ve achieved. 2024 is already shaping up to be even more successful, with the work we’ve done this year we’re ready to rise to the challenge!

2023 has not only been about Blackcore's growth aligned with the new Raptor Lake and Sapphire Rapids based systems but also about continuing to improve the client experience with Blackcore products from end-to-end. Our conversations have pivoted from the deployment of a handful of servers to "How can we easily deploy 300 units?" which means we've spent a lot of time on tooling, monitoring, and administration. Coupled with the expansion of our global sales team and partner program, our focus in 2024 will be on continuing to streamline the end-to-end client experience from the first contact with Blackcore through to getting the servers in a rack and running.
2023 has been a year to remember and the entire team is excited about the projects planned for 2024, we look forward to telling you all about it in the new year. But for now, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
